John O. Bigelow, a retired New Jersey Superior Court judge, left, was one of the lawyers who handled Bob's six-year battle to win his teaching job back after he was dismissed for invoking his constitutional rights in an apperance before the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1955. Bob was eventually reinstated with back pay by the New Jersey Supreme Court.
