The street where I live is located across from a 177-acre state park that runs along the Connecticut River. River Highlands State Park is threaded by trails that wend through woodlands and ravines to the water's edge and along a 150-foot high bluff overlooking the river. At times of year when the mosquitoes and black flies are absent, you will often find me tramping through the park with camera and tripod.
